Volunteerism was the order of the day.  Sunshine and warm temperatures welcomed 132 golfers for the 7^th Annual Benefit Golf Classic for the Oregon Burn Center.  A culmination of over 40 volunteers greeted the players for a day of fun, golf, good food and a successful fundraising effort.  This years event raised over $46,000.00 for a one time contribution to the Burn’s Centers new Therapeutic Garden. The Therapeutic Garden will be built in an existing courtyard within the privacy of the Burn Center and will be a healing destination for patients, their families and Burn Center staff.  The design features winding walkways, meeting areas for family and friends, areas where individuals can relax in relative privacy and a great deal of shade.  In addition to the physical therapy options, patients will have the opportunity to spend time outdoors in a protected environment and meet with their families other than in their hospital rooms.  The 7^th Annual Benefit Golf Classic “Sponsor of the Year” award went to Tyndale Company, Inc. for their outstanding support of the Burn Center and the Classic.  Brian Degerness from Tyndale was present to accept the award.
