The 13th Annual 2009 Benefit Golf Classic supporting the Oregon Burn Center “Burn Education and Prevention Program” was held June 27th in Hood River, OR. A perfect 85* day greeted 132 golfers and 25 volunteers for another successful event, raising over $45,000, bringing the total raised to $698,000. New friendships and reacquainting with old made for an enjoyable time for all involved. The course was perfect, the food delicious, and the competition fierce. A wonderful day was had by all. The 2009 Sponsor of the Year was Robert’s Janitorial, a 13 year contributor to the Oregon Burn Center. Thank you Ernie.

What We Do
As the only facility of its kind between Seattle and Sacramento, the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanual Health Care Center treated over 400 burn survivors from across Oregon and Southwest Washington last year. A high percentage of patients cared for at the Burn Center are from our community and have been seriously burned on the job. Your contribution to the Burn Center will help the burn team prevent burns through education and outreach, as well as train medical staff in burn treatment to minimize injury for each burn survivor.
If we can save one person from the devastation of serious burns, we will have accomplished our goal. With your help, we can achieve so much more.
The 14th annual tournament will once again be held at Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River, Oregon.
Thanks to the generosity we have received from you and our sponsors, the Benefit Golf Classic golf tournament raised has raised over $698,000.
Our goal once again this year is to raise another $50,000 which will support the critical work the Oregon Burn Center does.
